No Submarines in Upcoming World of Warship

Wargaming the current leader of Military MMO game, currently developing World of Warship after successfully launched their two titles, World of Tanks and World of Warplanes. World of Warship will take you back into the world of sailor, sailing between the seas, watching for the enemy and hurling tons of ammunitions into the enemy ship. Wargaming, contrary to Gaijin Entertainment, try to keep the game fun and simple, just like what we see in World of Warplanes and World of Tanks.

Sadly for the people who wait for World of Warships, Wargaming decided to steer the game into arcade and remove some part of the history, one of it is the addition of Submarines. Although the submarines is really influential in World War II, with the fearsome U-boat from German, acting as the stealth sniper of the seas, shooting countless of enemy without even being detected.

"There are no submarines in the game," Nicholas Moran, Wargaming's director of militaria relations (yes, "militaria," he refers to himself that way on Reddit and so I'm sticking with it), stated emphatically. "It just doesn't fit with the gameplay. You've got these small things that are practically invisible... They have devastating firepower, but when detected, let's say they're on the surface, they're gone immediately because they just have no survivability. There really wasn't any way of implementing it... We're not ignoring the historical reality behind it, it doesn't work in the game. There will be no submarines."

World of Warships
World of Warships will feature all three classes of ships, BattleShip, Destroyer and Carrier

Although they ignore the historical accuracy of the game, adding submarine will cost the developer more time and money, by adding submarine they will need to create the underwater world for the submarine to explore, this will make low end PC struggle to render the game, so it might be best to just leave submarine from the game. For me this is a good decision, and I really hope that wargaming could get up their feet with this one because Gaijin is coming closer...
